Natural pressed dietary food for adult dogs with overweight and/or diabetes.

Feeding guidelines
The food can be given dry. No further preparation is needed. Always make sure to provide fresh drinking water at room temperature. Divide the daily portion ProCare Veterinary Diet Weight Reduction & Diabetic into at least two meals a day. Supplemented foods are not recommended.
The particular dietary objective is the reduction of overweight and/or regulation of the glucose release (Diabetes mellitus). Dietary characteristics: low in energy value and low content in fast glucose-producing carbohydrates. Recommended use: until the desired body weight has been reached or initially no more than 6 months.
It is recommended to consult a veterinary before use.
Contraindications: Gestation, lactation and growth.
ProCare Veterinary Diet Weight Reduction & Diabetic is particularly suitable for adult dogs aged up to approx. 8 years, suffering from overweight and/or Diabetes Mellitus. When the desired weight is reached, you can change to Prins ProCare STANDARD FIT. Mix for a period of seven days the new food with the old food until the transfer is complete.
Storage advice
Keep the kibble in a dry and cool place and close the package after use. Use a storage container for storing the food, and clean it well before opening a new package.
Switching from one pressed food to another

A. When you are switching from a different brand of pressed kibble to ours, you can mix the foods for a while until you have switched over. Mix an increasing amount of the new food into the old over a period of 7 days until you have switched completely. Occasionally switching to another food may result in slightly different feces. However, this is completely harmless. You could also opt for switching using frozen raw meat (see switching guideline section C).
Switching from an extruded food to a pressed variety*

B. When you are switching your pet from extruded (expanded) kibble to one of Prins’ pressed varieties, we recommend an instant changeover instead of a period of mixing. Occasionally switching to another food may result in slightly different feces. However, this is completely harmless. You could also opt for switching using frozen raw meat (see switching guideline section C). Pressed kibble is a condensed food with less volume than the extruded type. The recommended portions are therefore smaller, making this food easier on the stomach.
C. Switching to a new type of kibble is also possible by using frozen raw meat. In this case, offer your dog a frozen raw meat meal for one week. This will ensure an optimal recovery of the intestinal flora. After a week of feeding only raw meat you can switch to the new kibble instantly, without a mixing period.
If your dog has never tried raw meat before, we recommend slightly cooking the meat for the first two days in order to give the digestive system some time to adjust. After two days you can serve the thawed (defrosted) meat at room temperature.
